The author of ‘Running With The Kenyans’ and ‘The Way Of The Runner’ immerses himself in the world of Ultra Running, to find out about more and also whether he too could become an ultra runner.

His journey took him through the deserts of Oman, the snow-capped peaks of the Rockies, to the famous Comrades Race in South Africa and then to his ultimate goal the Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc.

During his travels he meets many of the sport’s colourful characters and gives an insight into what can be found at the boundaries of human endeavour.
