Advice for Road Runners: The Saucony Men's Ride 16 neutral running shoes are one of our most popular models at Run4It. That's mainly because the cushioning strikes such a good balance between softness and responsiveness.

Underfoot Feel

The Saucony Ride 16 features a PWRRUN midsole. As mentioned above, this cushioning feels soft and responsive. This means you should experience soft landings and energetic take-offs.

In a bid to improve underfoot comfort even further, a premium 7mm thick PWRRUN sockliner sits directly under your feet.

While you may not be overly aware of it during a run, the slight curve in the midsole rolls your feet forward. Helping you maintain your pace, and smoothing out the transition from landing to take-off.

Upper Fit

The Saucony Ride 16 upper has all the trademarks of daily mileage running shoes. Those being: supportive overlays; durable fabrics; and padded sections. Additionally, Saucony's FORMFIT technology ensures your feet feel contained and secure.

It wasn't mentioned earlier that the sides of the cushioning rise up around your feet to deliver more support. This works in harmony with the supportive upper.

Ideal Run Type

We recommend using the Saucony Men's Ride 16 as daily mileage running shoes. By this, we mean using them for slower to steady paced runs, when you're aiming to recover from harder workouts or build up your aerobic base.

Having said that, the versatile nature of the Ride 16 cushioning means they'll respond to some brisker efforts. Although, we would suggest looking at more responsive running shoes for speed based runs.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
